Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
